Skincare Moisturizer - Your Hottest Guide on Choosing the Best One

Women, especially those with dry skin, usually use skincare moisturizer. Without examining closely the basic ingredients used, the majority just indiscriminately buy practically any type of product. As such, they end up damaging their skin more.

Moisturizers are used to treat skin drying. Skin drying is largely the result of too much moisture loss from the uppermost layer of the dermis. This layer is called the stratum corneum.

The stratum corneum contains lesser blood capillaries, compared to the deeper layers of the skin. When it gets dry, it is likely to get enough water replenishment to augment what has been lost.

Of course, drinking additional water helps a lot. However, this is not easily felt by the stratum corneum simply because it contains the least blood vessels. Water, together with the nutrients and fresh oxygen supply is delivered through the capillaries.

How does skin dryness develop?

Too much and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight is one of the contributing factors for skin dry problem. This happens even during winter. The cold air allows for the rapid evaporation of water from the skin pores.

Skincare moisturizers should provide adequate water to prevent skin drying. Not all moisturizers are created equal, however. Some are able to deliver the promised desired results. Others simply cause more damage to the skin.

Avoid harmful substances:

Be careful when choosing your skin protection products though. Many moisturizers contain mineral oil. The extra oily layer on the skin surface supposedly prevents water dissipation.

There is one problem created by-products containing mineral oil, however. The oily layer clogs the pores and outlets of the sebaceous glands. When this happens, more sebum is found deposited on the skin pores, leading to acne inflammation.

Some moisturizers are also laden with alcohol and its variants. Alcohol is another harmful compound you need to avoid in your skincare product. It may be a good disinfectant. Truth to tell, alcohol makes your skin drier.

Remember also that dry skin is more prone to developing wrinkles. This explains why people with dry skin are potentially at greater risk of prematurely developing skin wrinkling than those with moist and oily skin.

Always go natural:

Make sure you use only products containing natural ingredients. Being natural does not always make a product effective in treating your skin condition. Make sure that those natural ingredients are genuine moisturizing substances. They need also to improve your skin by encouraging more collagen growth.

Leading substances are Manuka honey, Phytessence Wakame and Coenzyme Q10. When combined together without those harmful compounds, they all make the best skin care moisturizer.

And to help you get clearer and younger-looking skin, I will like to share with you one anti-aging skincare range that I found contains more active ingredients than any other cream on the market. These ingredients are effective moisturizers because they penetrate deeply and "nourish". So, they never feel greasy.
